• Waiola Shaved Ice

  If you're in Honolulu you know it's hot and humid here.  And nothing says refreshing than a a nice cold dessert or a iced cold drink.  So imagine have both in one in the form of shaved ice with lots of flavors!

  

  For now, the exterior is very run down but they're planning to move very soon.

  It's a very basic interior but it serves its purpose:

  

  They have a lot of flavors available.  It's almost like all the flavors they have available for bubble tea.

  Large Rainbow Shaved Ice (cherry, banana, and vanilla):

  

  They put lots of shaved ice and then poured out the flavors.  The red mixes with the yellow, the blue mixes with the yellow, and finally the blue mixes with the red.  So beautiful.  Just like the rainbow I saw when I arrived in Honolulu last night.  The ice was very finely crushed.  The flavors were very subtle. For $3.02, this is an amazing deal.

  They're moving soon so be sure to look up their new address if you decide to go to Waiola Shaved Ice.  Inside seating is made up of metal stools and ledges along the wall and window.  There is also outside plastic chairs and tables.  They say they're have the best shaved ice in Hawaii and that's very possible but I don't think it was really that super and definitely not worth the ~25 minute walk I took to get here. But if you have a car and fancying some shaved ice, it's worth giving this place a try to see if it's better than your usual shaved ice fix.
