http://www.crescere.fr/restaurants-pizzanice-planacces.htmNice is the second most popular city in France after Paris. It is situated in French Riviera along the Mediterranean coast. Having been founded over a thousand years ago, Nice is a very old city with many old architecture to see and many small shops to peruse. We went in April which was too cold to really enjoy swimming in the water. But it was hot enough to enjoy a nice sun tan.
Nice is surrounded by hills that help moderate the temperature year round. The harbor holds many yachts of various sizes:
I personally didn't find anything particularly exciting in Nice except for lots of street foods just tempting me to spoil my dinner. The streets of Nice were very busy throughout the day. It was especially busy during the lunch or dinner time because of the wealth of restaurants. We saw a lot of people at this restaurant so we decided to try it out (you've probably done the same thing before):
The inside is very tightly packed. It's definitely not supersized. There's seating upstairs too.
I was seated back to back with another person with little wiggle room. Table is small so it's quite intimate but lighting was very bright. The outside seating was too cool for our liking in April.
Napolitaine Gnocchi:
The tomato sauce was fresh and light. The gnocchi was chewy with a nice bouncy texture to them.
Reine Pizza - tomato, ham, cheese, mushrooms:
Nice is just a short train ride away from Italy so I had high expectations on the pizza. And it didn't disappoint. This was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. It was fresh and hot out of the stone oven. The cheese was gooey mix of mozzerelli, Parmesan, and Romano. Wow. This wasn't a napoleon style pizza so the crust was thickish and very soft. It's probably not the best pizza in the world but one of the best I've had.
We luckily came right before the peak dinner hour so we avoided the long line. Service was decent but nothing to write about. Non-alcoholic drinks are expensive as with any French restaurant so we drank wine. The pizza and pasta were so good. I would definitely recommend stopping by this restaurant if you're in the area.

HAHAHA. Nice is nice.
ooo I heard many good things about French food. I've never been there but France is the second country I want to go to.
nice! but yes, this was one of our stops, but nothing beats cinque terre in my books (check out some pics on my blog) :)
Ouuu, take out the ham and put on pineapple and I'll have some! I'm a vegetarian.
@longagoblogger - you should go! tho it gets boring pretty fast. Their food is good but plan ahead cuz when I got there, I really didn't know what was good.
@see_lai - the photos are beautiful. We went to a few villages around Nice and they look similar.
@selenasking - But ham and pineapples work so well together on pizza LOL
You are right there. I could have just removed the ham and it would be fine but I like pineapple on my pizza too, lol.
