Iin contrast to being home, weekends are not my favorite day of the week.  I don't have a driver on weekends, I'm stuck at my not so great corporate apartment, and I need to walk outside to find food.  On my first weekend I figured I'd have to at least visit the local mall just to see what they sell but mainly to find food.  I'd heard a lot about how people like KFC here so I figured I'd give it a try since the lines were shorter than usual.

I went at 3pm so there wasn't a long line.  During lunch and dinner times, the line stretches out into the mall forming a line that's at least 5 people deep.

    Looks like any other KFC:

Although there are a lot of people, they're fairly fast getting through the line.

    Coleslaw salad and drumstick:

After getting sick so many times I was actually worried I'd get sick after eating the salad.  I didn't so it was a good thing.  The drumstick was small as usual but hot and tasted really good.  It's much more crunchy batter than what you'd find in North America but with less spices as you can see from its lighter brown color.

    The Zinger:

As usual, it's more bread than meat.

    It's real white meat inside:

The chicken was moist, the batter was crunchy, and everything was warm.  It tasted just like what you'd have in North America but more fresh.

Although the salad looked really pale and I thought I'd get sick like almost every other restaurant I've been to (except the places across the street from the office), I was OK after eating KFC.  It made me think I was back home for a split second.  How I wished I was home.  Anyways, KFC is a really busy place so expect a line almost all the time.  The price is very reasonable as I got all the above for 162Rs which is like $4 USD.  I'd come again if it wasn't such a long line up.
