British Airways World Traveller
British Airway Boeing 747-400
London Heathrow (LHR) to Bengaluru (BLR)
Flight BA119
http://www.britishairways.comFor my final leg of my almost 24 hour trip to India, I'm taking the super large Boeing 747 operated by British Airways for a 9 hour flight over lots of countries I'd love to visit instead of India:
The first class seats on the top deck are really nice with great service to compliment.
Unfortunately I'm in steerage where they pack people into very small seats with limited recline:
Luckily I was sitting at the far back right where the tail of the plane starts to curve inward so there were only 2 seats instead of the usual 3. I had a window seat with a lot of window space because they couldn't fit another seat in there.
The in-flight dinner helps you ease you into India with some flavors of India:
The salad:
I didn't like the yellow stuff at all. It was slimmy and had a sour taste to it.
Chicken Toscan:
It's like spicy tomato sauce with egg plants a few other root vegetables. It's actually not that spicy compared to real Indian food but spicy compared to what you'd usually get on a plane. Noodles were steamed and moist.
Some pudding dessert:
It was good. Sweet and sugary. I avoided the green and yellow pieces which were squishy and soaked with more sugar.
Breakfast:
I was surprised to have another hot meal but I wasn't complaining. It was like the top of a pot pie with vegetables in tomato sauce on the left. The pie top was dry but I like pie tops so I finished it. The top stuff was a hard tofu like food with cheese. I wasn't liking the hard and rubbery tofu texture so I didn't eat any of the top stuff.
This food was editable but it wasn't something I'd like. Sadly, I was fooled into eating the Chicken Toscan on my flight back to London from Bangalore after the stewardess said it was her favorite. It wasn't that great and perhaps I should've chosen the beef.
It's airline food. You have a choice between eating it or starving.

I seldom like airline food. I agree with your rating. The only airline food that impressed me was Austria airline that I flew from Thailand to Vienna. It helps that I travelled business class. They actually have a chef on board and I could order any breakfast I want. It was delicous! So far the worst airline food I got were from mainland china's arilines. yuck!
@stevew918 - wow a real chef? what did he have to cook with? I've always heard of impressive things like a chef slicing roastbeef on the plane but I've only seen those high speed ovens. maybe i'm lacking in international flights
