  • British Airways The Galleries Club Lounge at YYZ

    International, Terminal 3 Level 2
    Toronto Pearson Internation Airport (YYZ)
    3111 Convair Drive
    Toronto, Ontario L5P 1B2

Much of my time is spent waiting around for my plane to arrive.  Some of it that improves things is access to a wide range of lounges on my flights.  A little snack and a comfortable chair make a big difference.  So here I am on a business trip to India flying out of Toronto on British Airways and I'm waiting for my flight to be ready.

The British Airway lounge is on the second floor:

    The entrance:

    The main serving area:

Seating area with power sockets along the wall:

    More seating area:

In the distance you can see another serving area.  If you have first class then you'll get a meal voucher for a hot freshly cooked meal.  Unfortunately I'm seated in coach.

    Computer area:

Free WiFi is also available in the lounge area.

    The liquor area:

They also serve various juices and soft drinks.

They have various cold items.  Sometimes small sandwiches and in this case, shimp wraps:

They usually have two items where one is vegetarian while one is not.

I picked up a tomato, cheese, ans basil sandwich, some bags of chips, and cheese:

The sandwich was dry like it's sat out for a while.  I do like their selection of potato chips.

The food is very basic.  With OneWorld Sapphire status or above you will get access to the lounge.  It beats waiting around the gate but make sure you leave about an hour before your flight.  My flight started to board early even though the front desk staff told me it was too early.  If you have access it's worth going to but it's not worth paying for.
