Air travel is a real hassle but at least Air Canada is a decent airline with very comfortable jets and on-demand entertainment at every seat.  But for all the little short hauls I take, I end up spending more time at the airport than on a plane.  A nice perk to getting status with flying frequently with an airline is access to their lounges.

Welcome to Air Canada's Maple Leaf Lounge for domestic travel in Toronto:

If you're travelling international I also took some photos from that lounge.

The seating is very large.  I'm was hear for an evening so it was quiet.

    The kitchen:

A number of cheeses, bread, pickles, and olives are available:

Various fruits and chips available too:

I hadn't eatten dinner yet so I was really hungry.  I was really expecting more than just bags of chips and cheese at the lounge.

The drink section is the most impressive:

    Beer on draft:

    If I weren't so hungry I'd have a glass.

    Great choices of hard liquor:

    The quiet seating area:

    Workstation area:

Sadly you can't bring alcohol to the work area.  They provide both work areas with Lenovo desktops or without.

    The washroom:

Although I didn't see any showers, I see on Air Canada's web site that this lounge offers showers.

The Maple Leaf Lounge is a comfortable place to just sit back and relax or get some work done.  There aren't a lot of food available but lots of drinks.  Unfortunately you can't enter the lounge, leave for food, and re-enter the lounge, so be sure to eat ahead then come back to the lounge to relax.  There are even no cellphone areas if you just want to sit back and catch some shut eye.

Nice pictures.  I have visited quite a few lounges during my travel days.  What I enjoy the most are computer internet connections, food, and of course, shower. I agree the choice of food in this lounge is kind of lacking.  At minimum, they should have some instant noodles, lol.

    Cool
How do you qualify to gain access to the airport lounges...?

@stevew918 I think they serve soup at some point of the day but it wasn't there when i wanted it! LOL

@lizzie_wizzie to get into Maple Leaf lounges you have to get Star Alliance Gold status. There are a few airlines that can get you that status and each one has it's own requirements. But if you fly Air Canada, right now you need to fly either 35,000 miles or make 50 flight stops (called flight segments).
