Beware of bad service and unsanitary food preparation
I normally don't write about these things but a December 7, 2008 post from Joram on Facebook with a photo of their hot chocolate from Destiny convinced me to warn my Toronto readers:

Those are two bugs (one looks like a cockroach while the other looks like some type of beetle) inside a hot chocolate with a menu from Destiny.
"the server was called over and when she saw it she looked like she wanted to throw up"
The worst thing is how their waitress handled the situation by saying that "maybe the cockroach didn't come from there" and still charging them for the drink but discounting the tax.

After reading his post about how their staff handled the situation, I wouldn't recommend Destiny to anyone and you won't see me visiting it.

You know....I've been to another tea place that had that years ago....instead of taking the drink back, apologizing and offering a subsitute free of charge, they just said it wasn't them. I took a picture, spoke to the manager, informed him that I'll pay for the drink, but will be sending a complaint and this photo to the health department and citytv. The place is no longer a bubble tea place.

@myskinnyfiles that is great! I always wondered if going the political route ever worked. But I think most of the time they rename the place instead of shutting it down.

good grief! I hope they are forbidden to open any more shops. Yuk! I have been to some dirty places in China, but never seen anyone serve "protein" in that form. Yuk!
