http://www.famousdaves.comHave you ever gone to a restaurant just because it smelled good?
On one of our visits to Target after a long day at work, we smelled ribs and BBQ in the air. Right across the street from us was Famous Dave's BBQ. It didn't help that we were very very hungry since we only had a light lunch. We vowed we'd visit Famous Dave's one day - and that day came.
The interior is worthy of being a BBQ restaurant with a wooden interior that makes you feel like you're in a log cabin.
I ordered the Baby Back-N-Meat BBQ Combo with my choice of the BBQ chicken. Two sides I chose were slaw and beans. Always important to get your daily intake of vegetables :)
After being in Dallas for so long and having had Bone Daddy's (a really good BBQ restaurant), my expectations were high for Dave's. Unfortunately I was disappointed with dry, almost meat-less ribs that had more sauce than meat. The chicken was alright but it wasn't too much different than those you can get at the grocery store. Beans were watery and slaw was very mayo-y. I didn't even eat the dry corn bread. I think we just had to try Dave's out since it smelled so good from the outside but the food wasn't so good so I wouldn't recommend coming here.

How in the world do you get to try out food at so many different locations? I just stumbled upon your site and so far i'm impressed with all the different states your reviews have taken place in.
And I looooooooove my meat. It's definitely cruel and unusual punishment for a cow's remains to be doused in too much sauce. Come on, if I was to be eaten, I want to at least taste dang good and have my own flavor simmer out.
