516-739-3666I was out with a coworker to run a couple errands during lunch and we needed to find something to eat that was by the office but didn't want to go to the restaurant across the street from our office. Our our drive back we missed a couple plazas but turned into the last one before our office. We initially saw a South Eastern restaurant but didn't feel our stomach was up for it. We then looked a bit further down and saw a big white sign contrasting with the red siding that read "Thai Food". I like Thai food and so did my coworker so we decided to take a closer look. At the door was a newspaper review giving a positive thumbs up (I don't think any restaurant would post a bad review) so it can't be that bad and it was Zagat rated too (that sign works. At least they ate it and didn't come out sick). So we decided it was safe enough to try.
A very basic looking exterior:
The huge "Thai Food" sign made it easy for us to know what they serve but it looks cheesy and didn't inspire confidence in our choice.
A small interior with a big mirror to make it look bigger than it really is:
Very old styled carpeting, chairs, and tables fill the restaurant.
Chicken stir fry:
A good amount of chicken and a lot of rice. My mouth usually goes dry if MSG was used but it wasn't dry this time. But the dish did feel like they added sugar to sweeten it up. The sauce was tasty but nothing else in it stood out.
It's not a nice looking interior and it's not a nice looking plaza either but the food was food and worth getting take out. My lunch stir fry was around $6 which is a decent price for the quality and portion. They provide sturdy plastic containers to hold the food and the cover is clear too so you can easily see what you're getting. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a lunch visit and take out.
