http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/If you've heard of Ikea then I'm sure you've been inside one. Ikea is a huge store with furniture for almost all rooms and budgets. You could literally spend a whole day in the store picking and choosing sizes and colors from their various models. To help you get through a whole day at Ikea, they have a cafeteria too! Their cafeteria was made famous for swedish meatballs as it was one of the few foods they did serve. The cafeteria's menu has since diversived.
Ikea is always busy on a weekend so get there early.

The cashier
Vegetable soup:
Very tomatoey. Good amount of vegetables and still warm.
Kid's sized Macaroni and Cheese:
Very pasty cheese and only one type of cheese too. Not that great but it's geared to kids so I guess they're not as picky.
Salmon:
The salmon was slightly overcooked and likely just steamed. Sauce was good and very subtle. The vegetables were flavourless and so were the potatoes.
The last time I had food at Ikea was when I was a small child and eating Swedish meatballs for lunch seemed delicious to me at the time. Things have changed and my opinion of Ikea has changed. Their food is very bland. Prices are very reasonable with the Kid's sized Macaroni and Cheese at $1 while my salmon, soup, and a small drink was only $7 or so. The service was friendly. If you're at Ikea, this food is bearable but I wouldn't go as far to say Ikea's cafeteria is a recommended place to visit.
