Bombay Bhel Indian Cuisine
230 Commerce Valley Dr. E

http://www.bombaybhelrestaurant.comToronto is known for its variety of ethnic cuisine. One of the popular ones is Indian. If you visit Richmond Hill on a frequent basis then you must've noticed Bombay Bhel. Bombay Bhel is situated near a number of restaurants such as Tang Chinese Restaurant, Go For Tea, and Brix . Right across the street from Bombay Bhel is another Indian restaurant called The Host so you're never out of choices. I have a few friends that love this place so it's my turn to give this restaurant a try.
An open area with wooden tables scattered throughout.
It's not a classy design but very functional. Large tables make it ideal for families.
Mango Juice:
A fairly thick mango juice. Better than the mango drinks you get from Chinese grocery stores. But of course more expensive than from a grocery store.
Butter Chicken, Lamb Vindaloo, Chicken Tikka Masala
Each dish ranges from $9 to $12. The sauces are very thick and tasty. The chunks of meat are large but each bowl doesn't have a lot of meat ranging from 5-7 pieces each. Each dish has a moderate use of spices in comparison to other Indian restaurants. I would say it tastes on par with Masala Wok.
The food is good but pricy. Service is Chinese style with any waiter able to serve you and limited ability to suggest dishes. The ambiance isn't very ideal for a romantic back drop since the decor is very casual and the environment is loud with lots of families. This is my second time visiting Bombay Bhel so it's worth a visit with friends.

I have been Bombay Bhel customer for very long period and have known Manjit for very long time. She doesn't seem to be at the restaurant any more and you can see the difference in quality of service. I was at the restaurant in January and then in March again, the service sucks. The food quality had deteriorated. Ask about Manjit and there is hush hush. Sshhhhhh, Seems like there is change in complete management or something is fishy. Not recommending this restaurant to anyone in the future.
