Koryo Korean Barbeque
N/A
http://www.koryofranchise.comWhat if you had a sudden urge for Korean BBQ but you really didn't have the time to sit at a restaurant? Or even worst, you found yourself at a food court. There's a new chain starting up called Koryo Korean Barbeque that hopes to satisfy that urge. I was having that Korean BBQ urge when I chose my lunch:
I ordered a BBQ beef burger:
The burger bun was nicely toasted. The beef was very thin, cooked well, but a bit on the sweet side. The main deterant for eating at Koryo Korean BBQ are the high prices. My BBQ beef burger was the lowest meat item at a bit over $5. I would actually consider eating at Koryo BBQ as I get that sudden Korean BBQ urge quite frequently and Koryo is good enough to keep it at bay for a couple hours. I did end up going to a real Korean restaurant that evening and had bugolgi (beef ribs).
From West Edmonton Mall:
Beef Udon:
There was so much carbon from the beef that the soup became very dark and you could taste carbon from almost all the food. There wasn't much broccoli (just two).
Chicken Burger:
It's just so small for $4. The bun was small and the chicken is even smaller. The use of coleslaw-like veggies doesn't accentuate the flavor at all. The chicken was very tasty and juicy however.
