  • Lego Land - Garden Restaurant

It's been a long time since I've blogged and it's been a very busy one.  During that time I took a short trip to the West coast.  Here's a video I put together of one of the attractions I visited:

Yes!  That's right!  I went to Legoland California.  Ever since I learned of a Legoland in Denmark and I really wanted to see all the minature cities made from millions of Lego pieces.  But Denmark was just too far so I was glad Lego created an amusement park in the United States.  But my blog isn't about amusement parks so let's get straight to the food.

One of the healthy choices at Legoland California is Garden Restaurant:

The restaurant is fairly small with limited seating but they had a lot of tables outside on the patio:

The sun is so nice in the West:

    I got a turkey sandwich:

It was pricy for $6 and didn't have anything special.  Surprisingly there was cheese, a slice of tomato, and a light spread of avocado inside.  The bread was almost dry and lettuce wasn't cold or crisp.

    The $4 kids drink:

It's nice to have a souvenier drink and it's $1 for refills throughout the park.  The Coke and Sprite mixture is high quality and not watered down.  It's not flat either.

We had lunch pretty late and the park wasn't very crowded so the restaurant wasn't too crowded but slow service quickly lead to a short line of 5 people.  The menu prices are fairly high to what you get.  I would recommend getting lunch before coming to Legoland but I didn't see many restaurants around the area.  The kids drink is worth it if you keep the souvenier cup.

Tummy Points: 2 out of 5
