Apart from all the shopping for clothing, gadgets, and more importantly, food....

... we visited the Megaweb Toyota City Showcase where we hoped will showcase some of Toyota's most amazing designs and creative concepts:

Toyota showcased their current cars from all over the world.  The most impressive production car they had on displayed was the Lexus IS-F.  That didn't impress me and neither did the many versions of Corolla on display so I went to their concepts section.  The ferris wheel in the background was very popular in the evening so we didn't bother waiting in line and pay $10 for a ride.

    Toyota Partner Robot:

A robot playing a trumpet isn't as cool as Honda's walking robot.  I don't think the robot even blows into the trumpet with that little mouth.

    i-foot:

It's laziness taken to a new level or the beginnings of Star Wars walkers (AT-AT or AT-ST).  It'd be more interesting if we were able to take it for a spin.

There was a test drive center at the bottom floor where you had the choice between a Corolla or the hatchback Corolla (our Matrix).  They didn't recognize our Ontario driver's license so we couldn't go for a spin.

After a lot of pork and super thin slices of beef, I was really eager to have some simple fried chicken and City Convenience Restaurant - First Kitchen was there to satisfy me:

A really good tasting green tea frappuccino:

I highly recommend getting this if you're at First Kitchen.

    Cajun Fries:

These were thin and cool.  Very hard too.  It came with the meal.  I wouldn't order these individually.

    Broccoli Soup:

This was very watery.  I wanted something healthy to offset the fried chicken.

    The different sauces available:

There's BBQ, ketchup, and one of those has fish roe.

    Each chicken is individually bagged:

Interestingly, all the chicken pieces were a drumstick and all of them were flattened.

A flattened drumstick helps reduce the number of bites needed to eating it to 2:

It was really juicy, tender, and hot chicken inside.  The outer coating was a bit hard and wasn't as flavorful as Church's Chicken or KFC.

I don't know if I'd make the effort to come to First Kitchen but it was worth the visit.  I really liked the chicken and green tea frappaccino.  I would say give it a try if you're curious on the Japanese take on fried chicken.
