Cafe Ginza Miyukikan
6-5-17
Ginza, Japan
03-3574-7562After hours of walking shops and touristy places, our legs were tired and feet sore. There are no benches along the streets or malls so everyone keeps walking. Now I can see why Japanese people are usually in good physical shape.
We couldn't find a McDonald's so we looked for a nice cafe that didn't rush people out the door.
Inside Cafe Ginza Miyukikan is a nicely decorated French-like cafe. It has two floors, a narrow staircase, lots of wooden furniture, and colorful dishes. Seating was tight too.
I got a smoothy (I think it was blueberry):
This drink was made with fresh blueberry. Too bad it didn't have much flavor to it.
Fancy tea:
I think this was a latte:
Nice thick toast with Nutella:
Their signature chestnut mousse:
It's not all chestnut paste on top:
I had a baked cheesecake that was very fresh and smooth. Service was decent but not as nice and friendly as in other Japanese restaurants. There is a minimum of one drink per person at the cafe with every drink over $6. Their cakes are very reasonably priced around $4 and they all tasted very good and definitely worth coming back again.
