A while back I reviewed a bad standalone TGI Friday's in Boston.  This time I'm in an airport TGI Friday's with coworkers and we all know that airport food isn't very good.  Or is it?  I heard this TGI Friday's isn't so bad so let's find out just how the food compares to the standalone TGI Friday's.

Since the restaurant is located right next to many large tall windows, the restaurant is brightly illuminated.

    Crispy Green Bean Fries:

Crispy and hot.  They're very addictive.  Don't let the idea that green beans are healthy fool you into thinking crispy green bean fries are healthly too.

Tuscan Chicken Melt with cup of Fire-Roasted Red Pepper soup:

Freshly toasted with creamy melted provolone and Jack cheeses, roasted onion and tomatoes inside.  I was quite surprised at how well the sandwich turned out.  They didn't even burn the bread.  The Fire-Roasted Red Pepper soup tastes more like a thick tomato soup.  It was great for dipping the sandwich in.

    Chicken Tostada Salad:

When you're at a restaurant where most of the menu is fried or BBQ, the salad can come out really bad.  Maybe I wasn't quite thinking straight when I ordered this.  But it didn't turn out that bad.  Sure the nachos were not roasted and the lettuce was pre-diced.  The pineapple wasn't too hard and the chicken was hot with a sweet sauce glaze.  The Chipotle ranch dressing goes well with it.  I probably wouldn't order this again but it was more than edible.

    Cinnabon Cheesecake:

Cinnabon-swirl cheesecake has a slight hint of cinnamon.  The cheesecake was a harder kind and you could taste from the top layer that it's been sitting for a while.  It was still good and sweet inside with a good moist texture.

This TGI Friday's looks better and it tasted better.  It didn't have the over use of old oil as it did at the standalone TGI Friday's.  But the airport menu was a little smaller compared to the larger standalong TGI Friday's.  Food arrived at a good rate (important for catching a flight) but if you're in a rush it's better to tell your host.  At one time they recommended bringing out the appetizer, entree, and dessert just in case the restaurant got too busy.  It's nice for them to suggest it.  Prices are very reasonable with a 3 coarse for $16 which is what I had above (excluding the Tuscan Chicken Melt and soup).  I would go to this TGI Friday's again but as with all chains, not all TGI Friday's taste the same so I would recommend on a restaurant by restaurant basis.
