972-447-0103Being back in Dallas once again, it's back to the usual odd restaurants for dinner again and cold weather. So it's late at night and we were looking for some comfort food for dinner. I hear pho is actually good for after a hangover or after clubbing. We feel exhausted after work so it's like a hangover.
Vietnamese Shrimp Spring Rolls:
The usual lots of lettuce and noodles with 1 shrimp per roll sliced in half to appear as there are two.
Meat Balls:
What kind of meat do they use for these beef balls? Chewy.
Large Bowl of Pho:
A couple pieces of semi-quality slices of beef and lots of flank and weird parts. But of course, that is what we ordered but the lack of beef slices was a bit a downer. Priced about $6 is about average.
Fried Noodles with Chicken and Vegetables:
I was expecting freshly noodles fried in a wok until they were crispy like some Chinese restaurants do. But this is a pre-fried, shaped, noodle structure that lacks any real taste except you know it's oily. The sauce was pretty thick and heavy. Not a lot of chicken but a decent amount of vegetables. For $8 it's a pricer dish.
The restaurant is eeriely quiet the two times we came at night. Food quality is alright but I don't recommend getting the fried noodle. The other vietnamese restaurants we've been to around Plano have cockroaches so it's good we didn't see any here yet. I might come here again but I don't recommend coming here unless you really want pho.
