The hotel wasn't close to any restaurants and it was close to most restaurant's closing time so we decided to explore the hotel for dining choices.
Inside we found three restaurants still open and Simple Seafood was the most casual:
A high ceiling, sturdy chair, nicely decorated, and dimly lit make the interior feel very warm even with the high A/C:
Complimentary bread:
Bordering on dry, I finished one of these since I was pretty hungry.
Seafood Linguini:
A very rich and creamy dish with a good amount of pasta. The toasted garlic bread was flavorful and crunchy. I love the butter. There was so much fish, a few shrimps, and a few scallops. I don't recall what fish it was but it was a thicker less flaky type. I think it was chosen so it wouldn't fall apart in the sauce and resembles a lot like scallop.
Club Sandwich:
Simple ham, bread lightly toasted, morning cooked hard bacon, crispy fries tat taste like those from Burger King (always crispy but rarely fresh). It was super great but it was a nice light dinner before bed time.
The food is great if you choose the right dish. Most dishes were over $14 so it's pricey for a quick snack. I might go back again but I didn't have a lot of time in Cancun to spend at a restaurant twice. If you're staying at the JW Marriott Cancun, it's worth a visit but it's not worth coming to this hotel for.
