With the US population's taste developing and refining, fried food as gone the wayside with the new emphasis on health.  The next big thing has been salads and sandwiches with new restaurants serving them popping up all over the landscape.  Corner Bakery stands out with it's nicely decorated interior and a good selection of sandwiches and panini.

    A nicely decorated interior:

Grilled Ham & Swiss - smoked ham with melted Swiss cheese, plum tomatoes, and Dijon mustard-mayonnaise perfectly grilled on sourdough country bread:

The restaurant has you ordering at the front, finding a seat, and the server will bring your order to your table.  Both sandwiches were freshly prepared with melted cheese and a good helping of avocado.  The amount of meat is a little thin for sandwiches priced around $8.  The wait for food was a bit long as we were hungry and in a rush to find gifts before the mall closed.  Chips for sandwiches is not a great side item.  I would prefer them go with carrot sticks and celery.  This is a great place for lunch but dinner can leave you wanting something more substantial.
