http://www.noburestaurants.com/dallas/index.htmlSpecial occasions need a special restaurant and Nobu is one of those special restaurants in Dallas. Featuring some typical Japanese restaurant dishes like california rolls and soft shell crab, Nobu distinguishes itself with their take on Japanese ike seafood spring roll with maui salsa and caviar.
The interior is a mix of Japanese accents like the characters along that light with a modern flair:

Nobu is busy, loud, and casual in the evening. Loud music joins in creating the social environment.
Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno:
With jalapano in the name you might think it's jalapano but it wasn't and the waitress confirmed it was okra. It's not very spicy and, according to the waitress, it's not to overwhelm the taste of the yellowtail. For a couple slices (6), $18 is very high and worth skipping.
Shrimp Tempura Roll:
There's a rubbery "skin" surrounding the roll that seems like it was made with turnip. It's likely to keep the roll from unravelling. It didn't taste any different from rolls at typical Japanese restaurants and not any more fresh. It's priced a bit high at $10.
The rubbery "skin":
I tried to eat it but it's flavorless and rubbery. It's best to pull it out.
Shrimp and Lobster with Spicy Lemon Sauce:
This was the best dish of the night with large crisp shrimps and tender lobster in a sauce that resembles soy sauce. It was bit on the salty side so it mixed well with the yellowtail. It's pricy at $28 but worth it.
Chilean Sea Bass with Moromi Miso:
Very very salty with the moromi miso. Sea bass was flaky and some parts a bit hard from overcooking. If the sauce wasn't so overwhelming the sea bass would have tasted better. It is priced similar to other restaurants for sea bass at $20.
Bento Box:
Another great dish. Almost like Roy's Melting Hot Chocolate Soufflé or Finale's Molten Chocolate, you can tell it's been pre-formed unlike Roy's. It's warmed to order so it's hot unlike Finale's. This box is worth the $10.
A really popular place and very busy in the evening. It is recommended that you make a reservation prior to coming. Parking in the court that Nobu resides in has very limited parking so you might need to park on the street or valet. The food is on an average pretty good but prices are high. Choose your dishes carefully as some are great (shrimp and lobster and the bento box) while others are not so good (rolls). I'll give restaurant squeezes a 4 out of me with good service that will explain all the dishes.
