  • Tang Chinese Cuisine

    230 Commerce Valley Dr E.
    Richmond Hill, ON L3T 7Y3

Richmond Hill is one of the top locations for finding any time of Chinese cuisine you want.  There are literally dozens of restaurants along Highway 7 between Leslie and Bayview and many more open each month.  To better compete with the new flavors of the month, existing restaurants re-invent themselves such as Tang in Commerce Valley.  Originally serving congee and noodles like Congee Wong, Tang now serves traditional Cantonese dishes.

A nicely decorated modern interior with a pink flower theme:

    Soup:

    Fish patties with vegetables:

    Sauteed Beef:

    Honey Garlic Ribs:

    Melon and Glass Noodles:

Each dish came out fresh and hot.  Some dishes tended to be a bit on the oily side such as the sauteed beef and the fish patties with vegetables.  Dishes were priced well as the dishes above (except the sauteed beef) were part of set course and cost around $35.  Service was prompt but everyone is always running around which, along with the noisy patrons, creates a frantic environment.  There was a lot of people waiting for tables on a Sunday night so be sure to make reservations or come early.  If you're looking for Cantonese then I recommend this restaurant as the flavor of the month.
