la Madeleine French Bakery and Restaurant
MacArthur & Royal
6430 North MacArthur Blvd
Irving, TX 75039
469 385-1700Beautifully decorated and themed, la Madeleine restaurants are easy to spot around Dallas. Come in for a taste of French cuisine like crepe, Croque Monsieur (classic French ham sandwich), or Quiche Florentine. Or if you have a sweet touth, they serve a variety of pastries, chocolate covered croissants, or cookies.
A nicely French decorated interior:
A lot of cafe in France look similar to this.
Beef Crêpe Maison - Shaved roast beef sautéed with broccoli, onions, roasted potatoes and mushrooms tossed in a creamy cheddar cheese sauce:
The crepe was light and beef was in generous portions. The dish came out hot and you can tell from the melted cheese. The cheese makes it so heavy. Some of the potatoes were raw. This dish is enough to make most people full.
We came for dinner so it was easy to find seating but lunch times are very packed so come here early. Food is priced fairly and quality is acceptable. The food took a while to get to us since it was prepared at ordering. They also had pre-made items like pot pies if you can't wait. I'd strongly recommend a visit to la Madeleine for lunch to see if there's something you like.

Okay, I feel a bit stalker-ish for having browsed thru so many of your blog pages; sort of finding out who you are and what you do kinda thing... :P but point is, I love the way you critique and present your food (picturewise)! Being someone that's going into a Hotel & Food Administration major, I am wayyyyy too fascinated with your blog. (Subscribing!)
Just keep it up, I think what you have here is great! :)
