http://www.stevefieldsrestaurant.comWhat do you think of when you think of generally expensive menu items? For me, and possibly you too, I think anything steak or lobster. Steak and lobster are exactly Steve Fields' specialties. I really like the little pond of Japanese fishes in front of the restaurant. I just wished I had some good things to feed them.
Lobsters in an aquarium at the front:
I really want to eat you.
Complimentary Bread:
Warm soft bread with great light olive oil. We usually go through two loaves of bread.
Wedge salad:
Tomatoes, blue cheese, bacon, and ranch dressing over a crisp fresh half head of lettuce is a great start.
Prime New York Steak with Skin-on Smoked Cheese Mashed Potatoes:
My favorite cut of steak because of its variety of taste and textures as opposed to the consistency of a filet mignon and a good balance of marbling.
New Zealand Lobster Tail and 6oz Filet Mignon with fresh steamed asparagus:
The lobster tail was tender. Asparagus did not stand out and is not worth the additional $7
Lobster Cruz - stuffed with crab risotto and fresh lobster meat and baked to a golden brown:
If you want a little more than just a lobster tail and claws then I highly suggest this entree with its mix of cheeses and crab risotto. For $34, it's surprising not to be sold at "Market Price" and reasonably priced.
Roasted prime of rib of beef:
Out of all the steaks, prime rib is the best prepared meat by Steve Fields. I highly recommend trying one. It has a great smooth texture and slight smoked taste.
My Birthday cake:
I've been to Steve Fields on many occasional and it's special enough to host my birthday celebration with my project team. Each time the steak was consistently good. The lobster cruz can vary in size based on what lobsters are available at the time. Averaging $40 per dish, Steve Fields is moderately priced and is a good safe bet. Though it doesn't seem to rotate its menu too much unlike fine dining locations like Canoe or North 44 and it won't have anything that will really jump out at you.
