When you don't have recommendations or the Internet, one usually resorts to the old style way of discovering a great restaurant - driving around and choose a place that looks nice.  That's how we found Zak8 situated by the Best Buy:

    Vegetable and Tofu Tom Yum:

It's a watery tomato based soup that has different spices.  Some of the vegetables are old and stringy so you might be pulling some out of your mouth.  For $5 it's a bit disappointing compared to my main dish.

    Chicken Green Curry:

A spicy dish with warm rice, very few pieces of chicken, and a good selection of vegetables.  Chicken were small and thin, resembling more like shreds.  The green curry was thick and spicy and generously given.  Priced at $8, it's hard to expect too much.

The green curry dish was very flavourful and filling.  I wouldn't recommend getting the Tom Yum.  I'm not sure why but most of us had stomach problems that night so we might be staying away from this restaurant.  It's good but I don't want to risk my stomach again.

Eric Tummy Points: 3 out of 5
