Arby's
On my trip to Boston, there's a long stretch of highway in New York/Boston littered with service stations full of fast food restaurants and a gas station. One of these service stations has a Arby's. Unlike the Arby's you knew a few years ago, Arby's has steadily expanded their menu from the usual ham, corned beef, and/or roastbeef sandwiches to include subs, salads, and crispy chickens.
Still the same grodgy fast food counter.
Chicken Tenders and Southwest mini egg rolls:
Some curly fries found their way into my chicken tenders. Chicken tenders were lightly battered with white chicken meat inside. They were hot when I got them. They taste similar to the chicken tenders found at Harvey's. They didn't have the BBQ sauce in stock so they offered me a choice of various dipping sauces such as honey mustard, tangy southwest sauce, and Thousand Island.
Inside the new Southwest mini egg rolls:
A nice change from the standard fried meat. They are no where as filled as the advertisements show them to be. I didn't even taste chicken in there but you can see the peppers at least.
Chicken and Ham Cordon Bleu:
I had originally planned to hit the McDonald's in the service center but I think it got replaced by the Tim Horton's. I've had a chicken cordon bleu burger at Arby's and that was really juicy and tender but small, otherwise I would never choose Arby's over Wendy's, McDonald's, Harvey's, or Whataburger. It'd be a toss up between them and Burger King, though.
