  • Roy's

    2840 Dallas Parkway
    Plano, TX 75093

Although Texas is well known for its steak houses and BBQ places, they also have a good selection of high quality asian fish and seafood restaurant like Roy's who specialize in Hawaiian dishes.

An unassuming exterior that doesn't tell you anything about the quality of food inside:

    A simple classy interior:

    Complimentary Beans:

A little on the cool side.

    Complimentary Dumpling:

A nice light dumpling with what seems like pork meat.

    Crab Cake:

A small crab cake with a healthy portion of real crab meat.

Lakanilau Roll - Seared Kobe Beef wrapped around Snow Crab, Tempura Asparagus and
    Avocado:

    Roy's Classic Trio:

    Hibachi Grilled Salmon:

Tastes like a standard teriyaki salmon found at most Japanese restaurants except it's not overcooked.

    Roy's Original Blackened Island Ahi:

Slices of ahi reminds me of sushimi.  The spicies add a good kick of taste.

    Hawaiian Style Misoyaki Butterfish:

The best fish of them all.  Very soft and sweet.

    Roy's Melting Hot Chocolate Soufflé

A delicate crisp top with a melt in your mouth inside makes this souffle a must have treat to complete your meal.  I highly recommend saving your appetite for this.

Roy's is extremely busy and only open for dinner.  I highly recommend making a reservation and they don't seat tables until the whole party has arrived.  The servers at the tables and the bar are very nice and helpful in dish selection.  I recommend a visit.
