Once again we're inside a hotel on the Las Vegas strip tasting a restaurant.  This time it's a restaurant specializing in burgers with one priced at $60 USD.

    A bar type interior:

    Kobe Burger:

It's a $16 USD burger and if you opt for adding foie gras and truffles then you'll hit $60 USD.  The great thing about Burger Bar is that their burger are fresh meat patties and not frozen pre-made patties.

    Buffalo Burger:

Looks a bit different from the Kobe burger and it tastes a little different being a bit more lean.  It's a hamburger so it's still pretty fatty.  If I were given this burger without a Kobe burger to compare against, I wouldn't be able to tell this isn't Kobe.

WIth the bun, lettuce, and tomatoes, your burger is going to get tall:

You can even add grilled onions, jalapino, and other toppings to stack it even higher.  I can't imagine myself getting a double burger here.

Have your burger prepared the way you want.  I got medium rare:

I forgot we weren't ordering steaks and mistakenly ordered my burger medium rare.  You want to avoid rare in any burger because containmination occurs on the meat surfaces and burger meat is all surface since it's ground up meat.  The good thing in this picture is that you can tell how soft the meat is and not packed frozen stuff.

These burgers resemble those from Lick's back when they use to use fresh ground beef but these burgers are much more rich in fat.  That sounds bad but it's actually a good thing as it spell juicy burger.  At an average of $16 per burger, it's a bit pricy but the restaurant is not low on demand.  Be sure to come early as a long waiting list forms around the lunch time.  If I were to go again, I'd probably try the $8 Angus burger just to see if I tastes close enough to the Kobe burger.
