If you're living in a southern state bordering Mexico you can expect to find quite a number of Mexican restaurants.  One situated in a quiet area behind some trees is el Norte Grill:

A bright tacky interior that suits the food style:

Unlike Western restaurants, you receive complimentary nachos and salsa instead of the usual bread:

It's not too watery but not thick like Tostito's salsa.

    Lamb, Beef, and Chicken Tacos:

I'm not fond of the soggy corn tacos.  Beef was salty but I think it's usually prepared that way so it doesn't come out tasteless.

After a visit to el Norte I have sworn off Mexican foods.  My stomach had an unsettled feeling after my experience there but my friends didn't seem to have as much problems.  If you like Mexican foods or Tex Mex, then come and give el Norte and visit and let me know what you think.
