Swiss Chalet, Harvey's, Montana's and other Cara franchises do not have a heavy presence in the United States so if you're missing Canada you might need to try alternatives.  If you have the craving for rotisserie chicken and find yourself in the United States, an alternative to Swiss Chalet is Boston Market:

All orders places from a takeout-like counter:

Bring your meal to the seating area:

It's nicely decorated but some furniture needs fixing.

    Quarter Chicken dinner:

The quarter chicken is the size of my fist.  It was very tender and soft inside but had a really salty skin.  Roasted potatoes were undercooked.  Corn bread was dry.

    Pastry Top Chicken Pot Pie:

Chicken pie was hot with a flaky top crust.  Inside, chicken pieces were large and dark meat but were not a lot of pieces.  Grilled vegetables were dry and tasteless.  They went well inside the pie however.

Overall the rotisserie chicken and pot pie quality are higher than those found in Swiss Chalet.  Although the food was not perfect, the basics such as the chicken was moist and juicy while the pot pie had just the right texture for the sauce, were well executed and show promise.  The delivery of service seemed a little too much like KFC and needs improvement but for around $6 USD for each dish, it's hard to ask for too much.
