Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) Airport Terminal D
    3200 East Airfield Drive

On many occasions, the food you find at the airport is either bad quality, unhealth fast food or bar food, overly expensive, or any combination of the above.  But in the past couple years airports have been renovating and improving their shopping and restaurant choices to improve the cashflow from establishments inside the airport and to encourager flighers to visit their airport (as opposed to another if there is a choice such as in the case of selecting a connecting hub on a flight).

Dallas/Fort Worth is one of the leading US airports with their relatively new international terminal.  They offer various shopping venues like  Mont Blanc, Fossil, and Brookstone and great sit down restaurants like the one I'm going to be reviewing today, Tigin Irish Pub & Restaurant:

With very little seating, at peak times at the airport, most seats are taken but waits for a small party (under 4 people) usually take less than 15 minutes.

Southwestern Rollóg - combination of spicy fried chicken, buffalo sauce, red chile aioli, pico de gallo, pepper jack cheese, romaine lettuce wrapped and rolled in a gourmet spinach tortilla:

    Bookmakers Steak Sandwich (medium rare):

I was surprised it wasn't shredded beef being called steak.  Although the steak came out relatively rare compared to other restaurants, the surface of the steak prior to cutting on the premises seems to be cooked well and the steak was juicy and tender.  The potato wedges were crispy on the outside and soft and hot on the inside.  Priced around $12 it's really food quality for inside or outside an airport.

Service can be a bit slow as there aren't many servers compared to tables but the quality of the food and value more than make up for it.  If you're in DFW airport and you have the time, I recommend coming here for a lunch or dinner even if you're not in this particular terminal (take the DFW skylink!).
