Carmelina
7501 Woodbine Ave.
Markham ON L3R 2W1
905 477-7744
http://www.carmelinarestaurant.comSituated in a business area North of Toronto, Carmelina offers a mix of Italian and Mediterrean dishes. It may not look really nice outside but the inside will surprise you:
With the closure of Le Biftheque in plaza, there is no problems finding a parking space.
A dimly lit classy interior:
Blocks of complimentary bread:
These were relatively dry but we were hungry so we had a couple. They also provide a dish of olive oil.
Italian Sausage:
Seafood Pasta:
Reasonably filled with calamari, shrimps, mussels, and scallops over linguini.
As with most Italian pasta dishes, you walk away feeling that the dish was priced a bit too high. My seafood pasta was around $20 and the Italian sausage was around $15. Although it was a weekday evening, it was odd to have the restaurant was empty the entire time we were there. Service was adequate for a casual dining environment.
