The Great Mall Outlet
447 Great Mall Drive
Milpitas, CA 95035Our trip to San Francisco has not been a very positive one in terms of food. It's been one disappointment after another since our trip to the wineries of Napa. This time we're at an outlet mall's food court and trying to decide on our lunch. There were a number of places serving pizza and hamburgers but we were quite greased out by In-N-Out. We decided to try out the Asian flavours:
Sorabol Korean BBQ & Noodles:
BBQ Pork and Noodle in Broth:

Under all the vegetables are a few pieces of noodles and BBQ pork. For a little over $6 USD this didn't feel like value. Vegetables were all cooked by the watery broth and noodles were undercooked. BBQ pork was tough.
Magic Thai:
Sizzling Chicken Special:

A striking contrast to the vegetable dominated soup bowl above is the chicken filled dish. It's all dark meat but it cost a little over $5 USD. It tastes exactly like any other chicken from an Asian fast food restaurant and that typical sweet teriyaki sauce. How does every place taste so similar?
Everything tastes as you would expect but priced at over $6 for the noodle bowl and for most dishes at Magic Thai it is a bit on the pricy side. It's not common to intentionally come to a food court to try out a fast food booth and this is no exception. I recommending finding food before coming to the mall.
