http://www.seabreezefish.comTexas is famous for its beef and barbeque but there are times you just want to go for something swimming. On our way to and from work we drive through a series of restaurants and stores and this is one of our latest experiments:

A fish market is just behind and a casual seating area in the front:
Surprisingly, the restaurant doesn't have a fish or seafood smell even though the market shares the same space.
Fried Calamari:
Super fresh! You can taste the springy calamari. The calamari can stand on it's own without the batter. But that's not saying the batter is bad because it's actually good and light.
Pecan Crusted Blue Fish:
A very fresh, moist, and flaky blue fish. The pecan coating detracted from the taste of the fish as it made it feel like I was having some kind of fish and chips from the grocery store. The vegetables were all fresh and crispy. Unlike most restaurants that serve tomatoes, they didn't come raw or mushy. They were soft and hearty.
Grilled Shrimp on a Skewer:
For a casual environment, the prices of $20 for dinner entrees are, at first, a surprise. But once you try some of the food you'll be pleasantly surprised. The fish market they have is not just for show as everything that comes out of the kitchen is impressively fresh and possibly straight from their market. Along with each meal they provide fresh from the oven sourdough and olive oil before your meal. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit and don't let the casual ambiance lower your expectations.
