Miyabi Japanese Restaurant
280 West Beaver Creek Rd. Map It
Richmond Hill, ON
905 709-2915Hoping to find a really good Japanese restaurant that's not in the all-you-can-eat style, we visited one along Highway 7 beisde many Chinese restaurants.
A very small interior with the usual open window to the sushi chef:
Miso soup:
The included salad (tastes a bit like Italian):
Crunch shrimp and Spider crab Rolls:
The shrimps were big and crunch but the soft shell crab in the spider rolls were old and not crunchy.
Chicken
Chicken was dry and tasted like any other Japanese restaurant's - but for around $17 it's a high price to pay.
Beef:
beef ribs were mushy and lacked strong charboiled taste. For around $17 you get what you see in the picture immediately above with miso soup and salad.
Try salmon:
Salmon turned out dry and overcooked. Once again, this $17 dish only included salad, miso soup, salmon, and some veggies.
Miyabi is one of the few Japanese restaurants in Richmond Hill, or even Toronto, to be runned by Japanese people. The only other thing that stands out is the poor quality to high price of every menu item. With each $17 meal including very little extras like rolls or tempura, the quality of the food did not make up for the price. I highly don't recommend coming here. Even all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurants provide better quality and value even if you don't pig out.

Who the heck is taking pics of me? I feel like a celebrity now.
Ppl, go to Akasaka instead if in the area.
the sushi/sashimi was very fresh,
and i had (extremely tasty) sea urchin for the first time.
i'm sorry to hear your experience wasn't as good as mine.
cheers!
