Sea Ranch Restaurant & Bar
1 Padre Blvd
South Padre Island, TX 78597
956 761-1314
http://searanchrestaurant.comOne of the most famous seafood restaurants on South Padre is able to meet my review critical taste buds and my expectations have been pretty low after eating out around this area for a while now.
A large exterior with a cheesy logo:

Unfortuntely it was really busy when we went so we ended up dining at the bar:

It's not the most pretty of places but peering into the dining room, it wasn't much different than Scampi's.
Seafood Sampler:

We weren't too hungry so we only got a sampler of 2 fried oysters, 2 fried shrimp and 2 stuffed shrimp for a snack before the real dinner. The dish was priced high around $9 USD.
It's a busy place so seating was going to take 30 minutes for two people. The service was decent and didn't push us to finish. The shrimps were crispy and of decent size. The best were the stuff shrimps as the stuffing was not overly bready and you didn't tire of it quickly as with most other stuffings. Although the food was better Scampi's, I would say it's much better so it'd be a toss up between the two.
