  • Perry's Restaurant

    2911 Routh St.
    Dallas, TX 25201

I've visited a lot of good restaurants in Dallas and Perry's Restaurant is one of them.  I know a few of my friends have been looking forward to this review.

    Outside is very fancy:

    Inside is cozy:

14oz New York Steak with fresh broccoli:

The steak has a good texture and cooked according to the right temperature, medium-rare, as I like it.  I recall an old conversation with friends

I wasn't able to take pictures of the appetizers but it was amazing.  The appetizers included tuna tartare, BBQ shrimp, calamari, and jumbo lump crab cakes.  The BBQ shrimp was large, crispy, and flavorful.  The tuna tartare is slightly spicy and of sushi quality.  The calamari served was the tentacles and are similar to ones at Chinese restaurant dim sum.  The crab cake had a lot of crab pieces which is a lot better than other restauants.  The crab cake goes really well with the tuna tartare.  I love avocado so I loved the crab cakes.

The appetizers were fantastic so I highly recommend coming the Perry's to try the appetizers.  The steak was pretty good but it's no Ruth Chris or Morton's.  I would rant more about how good the appetizers but I think you've heard enough of that so go take a visit to Perry's.
