  • 369 Shanghai Dim Sum

    Kennedy Rd. & Highway 7

There are not a lot of Shanghai restaurants in my area so we went to try out a place we've never been to.

Outside it looks very plain and I hesitated to go inside:

Inside is normal looking but a bit on the small side:

    "Leen Go":

Wasn't very flavorful but it was fresh.

    Noodles:

Not a lot of noodles and not very flavorful.  Very few ribs in the dish as well.

    Dumplings:

The skin is a bit on the thick side but it was crispy.

    Fried Onion Cake:

Since we brought it home as take out, it's hard to say since it cooled down and was a bit hard.

The quantity of each item was small but it gives you a good chance to try out a lot of dishes.  At a total price of around $25, the price was fair.  Overall I wouldn't come back because the food didn't seem to have much flavour to it.  But I have a feeling that Shanghai food doesn't have much flavouring compared to other types of food.

Eric Tummy Points: 3.5 out of 5.

We should go to the Shanghai restaurant close to Starwok Buffet because that place is GOOD.  Mom's leen go is way better (very yummy and has a lot of good stuff and "liu"), so you should take a pic of that next time.
