  • Canoe Restaurant and Bar

    54th Floor, Toronto Dominion Bank
    66 Wellington Street West
    Toronto, ON Canada M5K 1H6

I went to Canoe Restaurant and Bar for a special occasion.

    The exterior is very unassuming.

    Our appetizer:

Very interesting variety flavours and textures.  I've never had something like this so it's hard to describe.

    Salmon:

    Venison:

The venison was very tender and I liked the stuffing and vegetables under the venison.  I wish there was some more though.

The quality of the food was expected of Canoe, one of Toronto's best restaurants.  The menu items change without notice so do not expect the same dishes I mentioned above.  I was most impressed by the service.  Staff took the time to explain the dishes, give informed meal suggestions, ask if it was a special occasion, and even offered to bring the dish back to the kitchen to keep them warm.  Dinner for two with wine, appetizers, and main course was around $190.
