Waffle House
When you're out late and get that hunger bug, it can be trickly finding a restaurant still open. Most people know of Golden Griddle being open 24h but there's also another place with a similar menu but perhaps better quality. It's called the Waffle House:
It's a very old fashioned exterior but it's also old fashioned in the interior:
I wasn't too hungry so I ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on Texas-style cut bread.
Simply put, it's not healthy food. One of my friends pointed out the fact that there was little to no vegetables on the menu. I noticed some salads but it's probably there just for the health freaks. There's a lot of oil so I would not make this a regular place to visit. The sausage was small but it was cooked well. Since the food is prepared after you order it, it doesn't have that pre-made or microwave taste you get at McDonald's with their McMuffin sandwiches. At $2.75USD for my sandwich, I would say it's a good price.
Overall I would give it a conditional recommend. It's only good if it's really late, nothing is open, and you're hungry.
