Flying Fish
Being far away from all oceans, you might think that there isn't any seafood to be had in Texas. You would be wrong. Catfish is a big thing here and there's a lot of fish restaurants that have originally spawned from serving catfish.
I think one of them is the Flying Fish:

It's very casual inside. It's more like a family restaurant than a place you'd bring a date.

It was all you can eat fried catfish for $9.99. I know I can't eat too much fried fish so I got a grilled trout instead for $7.99:

My friend and I also ordered 1lbs of shrimps to share!

The rice wasn't dry and there was some kind of sauce with a subtle taste that made it taste good. The beans weren't hard and not too soft. It mixed with the same sauce as the rice. The trout was tender and not flaky. Very tender and not dry. It isn't prepared like a high end restaurant so it's not rare in anyway. The trout did feel like it was drenched with oil though.
The shrimps were very soft and not crispy at all. They were reasonably sized. They had a slight spicy sauce over the shell of the shrimp that made it taste good even without dipping any seafood sauce.
Overall i would come back to Flying Fish but I wouldn't make it a regular place since most things seem to be trenched in oil. Prices are reasonable and watch for the daily specials!
