  • Jason's Deli

With the health craze still sweeping North America, I find myself at a deli eating sandwiches.  It's called Jason's Deli and it's a really busy place:

I spent my entire elementary school life eating packed cold sandwiches and I still eat cold sandwiches at work for lunch so I prefer hot foods when I go out.  I like guacamole so I got the Sante Fe Chicken Sandwich:

They didn't mention any offer to substitute the chips for something else but it's mentioned in the menu.  I highly suggest substituting the chips for anything else.  These chips are old and not crisp, not to mention they're unhealthy.

My chicken kept falling out of my sandwich.  The chicken breast is slices many times.  You can see there is very little guacamole so I was really disappointed.  For $5.99 USD, I would have to say this sandwich felt a bit overpriced for what I got.  But I guess that is what all healthy focussed places do, charge more money to make you think you're getting something better.

What really made the experience worth it was the soft ice cream.  They had a self-serve soft ice cream machine behind the salad bar and it was really cold soft ice cream.  It didn't squirt out like water like at those buffets.  This was the slow, good things take long kind of soft ice cream machine.  I recommend getting two cones of these!

Overall, the soft ice cream changed my opinion of this place.  I would recommend coming here for something then getting a soft ice cream cone!

The sandwich looks pretty good, but I don't know, it doesn't look better than Quizno's.  Mmmm... ice cream.

I agree that the sandwich is overpriced. ahhHh.. I always love those self-serving ice cream machines. :D At a few buffet places here, the ice cream comes out slowly.

hmMm... I'm thinking of possibly giving up xanga pretty soon. Main reason is that there's some people who's found my xanga(who shouldn't have found it in the beginning). Plus I haven't been using it as much as I did before. But I'll still be checking up on xanga from time to time. Do you have a current email address??
