  • Chili's Grill and Bar

Franchises are big in the states and I'm big into meat.  One of the bar and grill franchises is Chili's:

Since I love in Toronto, our proximity to the US and our dependence on US cable channels for our daily fix of American programming, I watch a lot of US commericals and that got me interested in Chili's.

Inside is dark and looks like any other bar and grill:

We ordered classic nachos to start our meal:

There weren't a lot of nachos since they're evenly covered with cheese so it takes them more time to prepare.  I did like the jalapenos and guacamole.

My friends tell me the fajitas are really good at Chili's so we got one of our friends to get one, Citrus Fire Chicken and Shrimp:

The rest of use ordered salads.  It's sad that we're so influenced by the media to eat healthy.  Anyways here's my Crispy Chicken Salad:

The crispy chicken was only warm and the dish wasn't too big.  If you removed the chicken the salad looks fairly cheap to put together.  Some fried noodles, standard hamburger-grade lettuce, half a mandarin, and sparse use of almonds.  This was not good value for $7.99 USD.

I would not recommend the salad I ordered or any of the salads on the menu.  Very poor value and taste is not high.  Perhaps other things on the menu are better.
