Our family rarely tries different things to eat.  If you've been following my blog, I've had food from different places but it's rarely with my family.  It was a special occasion and this time my sister had authority to choose from any type of food.  She chose Thai so we went to Lemongrass at Midland and Steeles:

The outside looks pretty boring.  I think the English logo looks a bit cheezy - not just because it's yellow.  Inside was a lot more pleasant to look at:

We came as a family so one of the waiters, I think it was the owner or manager, showed use the 4 people courses.  One of the combinations looked good to us so we chose that.

We started off with curry-like soup with seafood (I think):

Followed by the appetizer sampler dish:

It perfectly divided to 4 potions for 4 people.  I really liked the spicy chicken feet (top left) and the spring rolls.  The processed fish meat (center) wasn't very special.

This was a veggie dish my mom substituted for. I liked it but it was pretty standard and not very special:

    BBQ Chicken:

It was marinated very well.  It has a sweet taste to it.  If you like BBQ and chicken then you'll love this dish.  Be cautious that there isn't much meat on the chicken so if you don't eat the skin, you don't have much chicken left.

    BBQ Pork:

I didn't find it as tasty as the BBQ chicken.  I believe it's the same sauce.  The pork was tender but a bit on the dry side.  Seems more healthy because of the lack of skin.

    Curry Beef:

By the time we got to this dish we were quite full so we had most of this pot packed.  It was really good.  Beef was tender and not too fatty.  Curry sauce is light on the curry though and not hot.

Overall I find the dishes to be tasty, very fresh, well prepared, and very well presented.  Each dish was flavourful and definitely not bland.  The total of all the dishes was around $64 so it's great value as well.

I can see myself coming to this restaurant again but I had a sense I couldn't eat this food on a regular basis.  It's like Korean BBQ, you hunger for it but after going you don't want to go for a while.  Anyways, go give it a try!  I highly recommend!  Make sure you get there early because it gets busy very quickly.

The soup was meh.  The appetizer dish was really good!  I like the spring rolls and the chicken, and I especially liked the curry-peanut sauce for the chicken, mmmmm...  I agree with you that the veggies were just normal.  The chicken and pork were sweet and barbequed--VERY YUMMY.  I didn't find the pork dry at all.  I thought the pork was very "chui" in that it was springy, tender, and moist.  The curried beef and potatoes at the end were soooo good for lunch the next day.

It's NOT LIKE KOREAN.  Korean food sucks crap.  And their BBQ is just meh.  Plus, you can order other stuff at Thai restaurants--like curry for some rich sauce and those lighter spring rolls.

your pics of the dishes don't really look thai.....for some reason..more like a fusion between viet and chinese and maybe thai? :P nice lighting on those dishes though! and the ong(tong) choy looks really yummy.

Authentic Korean food, if made properly, is actually really good. I came back from Korea craving Korean at lot of the times now :).

I would NOT recommend this at all. Went their with my mom once and they served us cake that was molding. They tried to pass it on as if it was nothing. No apology or discount or anything. AVOID THIS PLACE!
