  • Bayview Court Chinese Restaurant

    1070 Major MacKenzie Dr E
    Richmond Hill, Ontario

There's a lot of Chinese restaurants in Toronto and there are many of type of Chinese foods served.  If you're looking for Chiu Chow then you might happen to come to the Bayview Court Chinese Restaurant at Major Mackenzie and Bayview.

Inside is decorated like the Chiu Chow restaurants at Kennedy/Highway 7 and Leslie/Finch.  I think this is the same owner but they sold the other two restaurants so they taste different.

I don't know the names of the dishes we ordered so I won't pretend I know.  But I can describe them and hopefully you find them on the menu.

Shark fin-like Soup (no shark fin though):

Duck over a bed of tofu:

    Veggies:

Hot pot of rice with Eel:

    Beef with American Broccoli:

The food is really good.  The price was fair as well.  From the pictures you can see how clean they look so there aren't a lot of artificial flavoring added.  However, you can see how glossy they look.  Most Chinese foods have a lot of oil so it can't be helped.

I recommend coming to this restaurant before they sell it too.  The restaurant is very big and the plaza isn't too busy so parking and seating will be a non-issue.
