Bayview Court Chinese Restaurant
1070 Major MacKenzie Dr E
Richmond Hill, Ontario
905 770-8623There's a lot of Chinese restaurants in Toronto and there are many of type of Chinese foods served. If you're looking for Chiu Chow then you might happen to come to the Bayview Court Chinese Restaurant at Major Mackenzie and Bayview.

Inside is decorated like the Chiu Chow restaurants at Kennedy/Highway 7 and Leslie/Finch. I think this is the same owner but they sold the other two restaurants so they taste different.

I don't know the names of the dishes we ordered so I won't pretend I know. But I can describe them and hopefully you find them on the menu.
Shark fin-like Soup (no shark fin though):

Duck over a bed of tofu:

Veggies:

Hot pot of rice with Eel:

Beef with American Broccoli:

The food is really good. The price was fair as well. From the pictures you can see how clean they look so there aren't a lot of artificial flavoring added. However, you can see how glossy they look. Most Chinese foods have a lot of oil so it can't be helped.
I recommend coming to this restaurant before they sell it too. The restaurant is very big and the plaza isn't too busy so parking and seating will be a non-issue.

Thiis place is REALLY GOOD. VERY YUMMY. I like the XO sauce veggies dish (looks like your dish but with XO sauce as well) and the eel and rice bowl. The eel and rice is very good too. Not shown that is good is the "mui choy" & eggplant & pork dish. YUM! The soup is "meh" and the last dish that you call American broccolli is very ordinary.
hmm. how about you try one of the summerlicious restaurants? i tried to get a reservation for North 44 - all booked! :(
i had real shark fin at a wedding recently... loved it! the pic of the shark-fin-like soup looks pretty good... i definitely want to try : )
