I'm sure you've had the experience of getting a sudden hunger or found yourself shopping around lunch time.  We can you do for food?  Usually the food is very unhealthy or just plain expensive.  Well I found a pretty decent franchise.

It's Bourbon St.Grill and it's at almost every major mall in Toronto.  It's just a bit more healthy than Manchu Wok and the prices are pretty fair.

Don't let that cartoon rendition of a lobster fool you.  They don't serve any seafood.

You choose various items from their counter such as beef and broccoli, blackened fish, fried chicken rice, and their signature bourbon chicken.

We ordered some veggies along with bourbon chicken and blackened chicken.

I like the sauce for the bourbon chicken.  The blackened chicken is usually a bit more dry than the bourbon chicken.  The veggies weren't flavoured much.

For some reason, the boubon chicken is always so tender but not like it's chicken breast meat.  I'm thinking the meat is from the thigh.  It's actually flavoured like Chinese "cha siu" or BBQ pork.

I wouldn't eat this on a daily basis but from time to time it's an alright meal that is alright on the wallet if you're sharing.
