Coca-Cola Zero
I use to like drinking soda pop. I think I'd consume at least one can a day. This might explain why I'm so short. But anyways, I got off of it in high school and haven't looked back at it... until now. Most companies offer free caffinated drinks or provide an easy to access venting machine serving caffinated drinks. They make it so easy to keep you pumped up at work.
So anyways, there's this new drink in town and it's call Coca-Cola Zero and it's pumped up with zero calories.
But what is so special with this Coke Zero? Diet Coke is already 0 calories. Well, this Coke actually tastes very close to the Coke Classic we usually consume. It's probably cause Coke Classic has 34g of caffine and Coke Zero has 34.5g.
I think it's better than Pepsi. Though my friends may differ on that remark since they chose Pepsi over Coke in one of those Pepsi Taste Challenges. I, of course, chose Coke.
But will Coke Zero cause cancer cause it's sweetened with aspartame and acesulfame potassium? Well, aspartame is the part that people believe kills you. That stuff is also in Diet Coke so if you're drinking that, you probably don't care.
Well, we probably want to consult some web link to see what really is going on. Well according Wiki, Coke Zero contains 85 mg of aspartame and 46 mg of acesulfame potassium. Of course, since my source is Wiki, you can go change the article and my article will end up having the wrong numbers if I don't have the wrong numbers already.
Let me see... I'm doing some research and found an article that says:
...several pages published in the Congressional Record of 5/7/85, said aspartame is uniquely and inherently unstable and breaks down in the can. It decomposes into formaldehyde, methyl alcohol, formic acid, diketopiperazine and other toxins.
OK. I'm a bit worried now. It goes on to say, "In a study on 7 monkeys 5 had grand mal seizures and one died, a casualty rate of 86%". I think I'm going to reconsider Coke Zero. It's a lot faster killing than cancer.

AHAHHA.
When my family, cousin, and I went to Mexico this summer my cousin and I sorta did a little experiment. We had 2 packets of both the Splenda and regular sugar. We also had two strawberries for each of us. We both dipped our strawberry with a little bit of regular sugar and yeah agreed that it tasted regularly sweet. We tried our second strawberry with splenda and realized that it tasted a bit too sweet to our liking. Haha!! Unlikely thing to do during a vacation. I also remembered my anthroplogy professor told us about how splenda isn't recognized in our bodies when we eat it. It does recognize sugar and can be broken down but not splenda so technically, it just goes into our digestion track but doesn't break down.
Splenda, also known as sucralose, is artificial sweetener which is a chlorinated sucrose derivative which can cause shrinkage to the thymus gland which is important to our immune system and cause swelling of the liver and kidneys.
