Mongolian Hot pot
February is cold in Toronto. What is a good way to warm up? Try hot pot!
We decided to try out Mongolian Hot Pot on Warden Avenue just south of Finch. It was SOOO packed. We waited 20 minutes to get a table. We waited by the door. It's cold at the door so I suggest not sitting close to the door even though the restaurant has double doors - it didn't seem to do the job in keeping the cold out.

The inside is very nicely decorated with a nice wooden look to it.
Their menu is mainly in Chinese and their staff mainly speak Mandarin so if you're a CBC (Canadian born Chinese) that can't read Chinese then you should definitely bring a friend that can read Chinese. The waitress serving was nice though. She explained the menu and the heater instructions to us in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
We ordered the basic All-You-Can-Eat for $12.99 + $2 (Friday, Saturday, Sunday charge). So that included unlimited beef and lamb brought to your table as well as unlimited visits to the shopping area (see picture on the left). The shopping area has chicken, various meat balls, eggs, veggies, cuttlefish, inards like flank, mussel, and tofu. There's probably other stuff but I didn't notice.
We walked out paying $25 per person with tips. A lot of that came from extra charges like paying for special soup base and special soy sauce. Overall it's an alright experience. The pot is very hot and lots of steam fills the area. That is a good thing as the restaurant is kept at a very low temperature. I found myself eating at a very fast pace since the place was cold and the water was so fast at cooking up the food. I managed to slow down my eating pace after my first bowl of food.
For those of you that are picky about the things you eat or the soup base, each table features either two separate heater per person or a pot slip in half for two flavours.
